Delayed until further notice. See 4/26, 0755 post. But by all means, if the rest of you still want to meet, go for it!

I found a great place for parkour near where I live, and I'd like to post the relevant info and see if anyone is up for meeting me.

Where: Heritage Park (across from Cerritos High School)
When: Saturday 4/26 @ 11 am (for now)
Meet at: Statue of Paul Revere and horse (it's a big bronze statue, can't miss it)

Google Maps

Time is up for changing, if anyone wants to come but can't make it at the original time. Let me know!

I can wait around for 15 minutes and then I'll get going. If you come later than that, it shouldn't be too hard to find somebody uncharacteristically jumping from place to place.

What's neat about this park is that there's a "play island" for kids and it's designed like a 1700s Boston town, with some interesting spots. There's also the standard kids playground which has some basic training features.

hey proto, I might be able to make it another time but I can't meet on the 19th. That park does look cool.

When I first started the thread, there wasn't much response. Good to know more of you are seriously interested. Maybe we can meet up this weekend. I will know how busy I'll be on Saturday closer to the end of the week.

@ protokurios : On the original thread. Did you mean Saturday 04/26 or is this for Friday 04/25?

There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking that makes it so.

I pulled my back doing deadlifts yesterday and I also extended my hip flexors a little too much hurdling over bushes playing capture the flag with a bunch of my friends. I'm sore all over and I can barely walk without pain in my lower back. I've never had a problem with deadlifts or other weightlifting because I'm a stickler for good form, but for some reason, the weight was a little too much yesterday.

Really sorry but I think I'm better off taking the next few days off. Sorry if you told your parents or shifted your schedule to come to Cerritos! You can always train on your own.

I'll be there. i'll prolly bring a friend too. Heritage Park's always fun to train at. We should do some Parkour Tag as well; it helps a lot to actually apply what you learn.
